Chicago Bears Training Facilities

Chicago Bears Training Facilities
"...their level of responsiveness and attitude was impressive. Our facility needs assessment was accurately made in a timely manner and within an agreed upon budget. This further exemplified Pam Scott’s dedication to our project."
-Tim LeFevour,
Former Director of Administration, Chicago Bears

In 1995 and early 1996, SportsPLAN Studio president and principal, Pam Scott conducted a series of workshops with the Bears’ professional staff and coaches. She then produced a detailed program of space requirements and organizational diagrams to guide the design team, led by the Office of Peter Rose from Cambridge.

The new Halas Hall includes weight training and conditioning areas, sports medicine and injury rehab facilities, locker rooms and meeting areas for the team and coaches. An indoor practice field, two outdoor practice fields and field maintenance facilities are provided, as well as outdoor riding and walking trails and other amenities to encourage fitness among all members of the Bears’ organization.

All administrative functions of the Bears’ organization are located in the new facility, including the executive offices, coaches’ offices, departments of finance, public relations and marketing, ticket sales offices and the player personnel development component. Accommodations for the extensive Chicago media and a broadcast production studio are provided on site.

This project was completed by Principals of SportsPLAN Studio while at another firm.
