University of Kansas Varsity Softball Stadium

Head Softball Coach, University of Kansas
SportsPLAN Studio was selected to begin design of a project to be developed in several phases between Big XII seasons after a $2 million donation was given to the University.
Design and construction documents for the playing field, dugouts, batting cages and temporary spectator facilities were completed in less than five months, and demolition of the existing playing field began immediately following the last game of the season.
The new playing field was completed in the fall of 2003 to be established by opening day in March. The next phases of the project, already in design, will add new grandstands, a pressbox and a varsity team clubhouse for KU Softball, Soccer, visiting teams and officials.
