Immaculata University Athletic Facilities

Director of Athletics Immaculata University
In 2004, the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception accepted the findings of a viability study, and the critical decisions were made to make Immaculata College a university and to admit male undergraduates in the fall of 2005. Very suddenly, the university faced urgent facility needs for locker room space, athletic training, recreation and intramural facilities and practice and competition facilities for five new men’s varsity teams.
At the same time, an ambitious master plan for campus development was nearing completion. To address the very specific requirements for sports and recreation facilities in a limited time period, Immaculata selected SportsPLAN Studio to develop a program of space requirements and a master plan for new facilities on the west campus.
In less than twelve months, SportsPLAN Studio completed the master plan, and working with Archer and Buchanan, we completed the synthetic turf field, a track, a softball stadium and a lacrosse/soccer stadium. We completed the Baseball Stadium in 2010.
